What is a Film-Kit®?
A Film-Kit® is a complete pre-production package needed to make a movie. It contains a script, storyboards, prop lists, and more.
You can purchase them in many different genres such as Comedy, Horror, Family, etc.
What will I need to make my movie?
You use your camcorder, friends, and family to shoot your film, then edit it on your computer.
How long does it take to make a movie?
It depends on the complexity of the story and your experience, but most Film-Kit® movies can be shot in a weekend.
What kind of video camera do I need?
Any video camera with a DV, firewire, or ILink jack that can connect to your computer will be fine.
What kind of editing software do I need?
Just about any non-linear editing software (NLE) for either the PC or MAC will work.
Examples are Ulead, Premiere, IMovie, Final Cut Pro, and Avid.
I've never made a film before, can I really do this?
Our Film-Kits® are designed to walk a first-time director step-by-step through the filmmaking process. It couldn't be any easier!
Of course, Film-Kits® are flexible so advanced directors won't feel limited by them.
Can I change the script?
All Film-Kit® scripts are professionally written with proper story structure, character development, and plot movements.
We encourage you to modify the story and characters to better suit your environment or talent. It's all up to you.
